About

Welcome to Raising Little Millionaires! I started this because I wanted my kids to grow up with money skills I never had — the kind that create freedom, confidence, and a truly choice-filled life.

Like many parents, I found plenty of personal finance advice online, but almost nothing that showed me how to teach those lessons to my kids in a way that felt simple, practical, and fun. So, I created Raising Little Millionaires to fill that gap.

Here, you’ll find expert-backed tools that fit into everyday life — whether that’s car rides, grocery trips, or quick bedtime routines. My mission is simple: to help parents raise a generation of money-smart, financially confident kids who see money not as a source of stress, but as a tool for independence and possibility.

Meet Emily Holthaus

Hi, I’m Emily — mom of 2 kids, educator, and the founder of Raising Little Millionaires. My story with money wasn’t picture-perfect. I grew up without clear or empowering lessons about saving or investing, and I spent much of my early adulthood learning the hard way. By the time I became a parent, I knew I wanted something different for my kids: a money story rooted in confidence, freedom, and choice.

I’ve spent more than a decade working in education, earning a Master’s degree in Education, and designing personal finance curriculum that makes tough concepts simple to teach. But even with that background, I found myself overwhelmed when it came to figuring out how to teach money at home. If I felt that way, I knew other parents did too.

That’s why I started Raising Little Millionaires — not to hand families a one-size-fits-all program, but to give parents tools that work in the real world: car rides, grocery trips, bedtime routines. My mission is bigger than my own two kids. It’s about helping parents everywhere raise a generation of money-smart, financially confident kids ready to create lives full of choice and possibility.
